AN ORDINANCE transferring the amount of $10,000 from 199-Federal
Shared Revenue Fund to 000-General Fund; appropriating
the'amount of $10,169 from unappropriated money in
000-General Fund to Account 01P.539.30.64 therein as
a 1974 appropriation for 000-General Fund.
110 WHEREAS, 199-Federal Shared Revenue Fund contains money avail-
able for transfer as provided by this ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the amount of $10,000 must be transferred from 199-
Federal Shared Revenue Fund to 000-General Fund, and the amount
of $10,169 must be appropriated for expenditure from 000-General
Fund to purchase animal cages for the impoundment of animals, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1974 Budget it could
not reasonably have been foreseen that such transfer and appropriation
would be required; and the City Council finds that an emergency exists
of the type contemplated by R.C.W. 35.33.091 and that it is in the
best interests of the City to make the appropriation herein provided,
410 now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The amount of $10,000 is hereby transferred from
199-Federal Shared Revenue Fund to 000-General Fund for appropriation
therein as provided by this ordinance.
Section 2. As the transfer provided by Section 1 hereof becomes
effective, the amount of $10,169 is hereby appropriated from un-
appropriated money in 000-General Fund to Account 011.539.30.64 as
a 1974 appropriation for 000-General Fund.
Section 3. The Director of Finance and City Treasurer of the
City of Yakima are hereby authorized to make the necessary transfer
• to carry out this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance is one making an appropriation and
shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publica-
tion as provided by law and by the City Charter.

Section 2. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and wel-
fare of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law and by the City Charter.
