HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-1696 REZONE PROPERTY AT 2011 WEST WASHINGTON AVENUE. - 4 ORDINANCE NO. /4,9' 6, AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission and rezoning certain property situated at 2011 West Washington Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington, from M-3, Airport Industrial Zone, to M-4, Planned Industrial Zone. 411- WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 26th day of August, 1974, upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that real property situated at 2011 West Washington Avenue within the City of Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is set out hereinbelow, be rezoned from M-3, Airport Industrial Zone, to M-4, Planned Indus- trial Zone, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the reasons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the General Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classi- fication; that the needs of the City and community do require such change and that the highest and best use of said property is for Planned Industrial Zone, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. The recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima that the following described real property situated at 2011 West Washington Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more particularly described as follows, to wit: The South 10 acres of the West 16 acres of the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 35, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., except the south 446 feet of the west 270 feet; and Beginning at the Southeast corner of the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 35, Township 13 North, Range 18, 410 E.W.M., thence west 12 chains, thence north'9.59 chains, thence east 12 chains, thence south 9.59 chains; and the South half of the Southeastquarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 35, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.; and the South half of the North half of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 35, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.; 2 1 be rezoned from M -3, Airport Industrial Zone, to M -4, Planned Indus- trial Zone, be, and the same is hereby, approved and said real property is hereby rezoned to Planned Industrial Zone. Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and for the City. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
