AN ORDINANCE transferring the amount of $1,600 from 392-Cumulative
Reserve for Capital Improvement Fund to 000-General
Fund, and appropriating that amount as a 1974
appropriation for 000-General Fund; and transferring
the amount of $9,406.61 from 392-Cumulative Reserve
for Capital Improvement Fund to 321-Downtown Develop-
ment Fund, and appropriating that amount as a 1974
appropriation for 321-Downtown Development Fund.
WHEREAS, 392-Cumulative Reserve for Capital Improvement Fund
contains money available for transfer and appropriation as provided
by this ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the amount. of $1,600 must be transferred from 392-
Cumulative Reserve for Capital Improvement Fund to 000-General
Fund and appropriated therein to pay for miscellaneous printing,
binding and office supplies for Central Business District programs;
and the amount of $9,406.61 must be transferred from 392-Cumulative
Reserve for Capital Improvement Fund to 321-Downtown Development
Fund and appropriated therein to pay for professional services per-
formed by N. G. Jacobson & Associates, Inc., in connection with a
revised Central Business District parking and general improvement
program, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1974 Budget it
could not reasonably have been foreseen that such transfers and
appropriations would be required; and the City Council finds that
an emergency exists of the type contemplated by R.C.W. 35.33.091
and that it is in the best interests of the City to make the trans-
fers and appropriations herein provided, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The amount of $1,600 is hereby transferred from
392-Cumulative Reserve for Capital Improvement Fund to 000-General
Fund; and as such transfer becomes effective, the amount of $1,600
is hereby appropriated from unappropriated money in 000-General
Fund to Account 021.514.10.21 as a 1974 appropriation for 000-
General Fund.
Section 2. The amount of $9,406.61 is hereby transferred
from 392-Cumulative Reserve for Capital Improvement Fund to
321-Downtown Development Fund; and as such transfer becomes
effective, the amount of $9,406.61 is hereby appropriated from

unappropriated money in 321-Downtown Development Fund to Account
321.538.30.65.900 a 1974 appropriation for 321=Downtown
Development Fund.
Section 3. The Director of Finance and the City Treasurer
of the City of Yakima are hereby authorized to make the necessary
transfers to carry out this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance is one making appropriations and
shall take effect immediately upon, its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
