ORDINANCE NO. /7/6
AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Com-
mission and rezoning property at 1712 South 16th
Avenue from R -2 and R -4 to Planned Development Zone.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council
of the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 27th day of January,
1975, upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that
real property situated at 1712 South 16th Avenue in the City of
Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is set out
hereinbelow, be rezoned from R -2, Two - Family Zone, and R -4,
Suburban Residence Zone, to Planned Development Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of
the Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for
the reasons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and
with the General Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of
• property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in clas-
sification; that the needs of the City and community do require
such change and that the highest and best use of said property
is for Planned Development Zone, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The recommendation of the Planning Commission of
the City of Yakima that the following described real property
situated at 1712 South 16th Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washing-
ton, and more particularly described as follows, to wit:
Lots 4, 5, 6, 17 and 18, Homeland Tracts, as recorded in
Volume "J" of Plats, page 39, records of Yakima County,
Washington;
be rezoned from R -2, Two- Family Zone, and R -4, Suburban Residence
4 ;Zone, to Planned Development Zone be, and the same is hereby,
approved and said real property is hereby rezoned to Planned Develop-
ment Zone, all in accordance with, and to conform to, the final
development plan and program therefor approved by the Yakima Planning
Commission, a copy of which is attached hereto and by reference

made a part hereof.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included
and depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map
prepared by and for the City.

Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this
ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as pro-
vided by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this
day of 6 , 1975.

after the farm markets in the Midwest. Typically these mnrketi:
all handle fruits and vegetables and related farm products such
as, vegetable plants, flowers, home pressed fruit juices, cider,

can sell retail, we will also be wholesaling on a limited scale.
TIMETABLE OF DEVELOPFENT
1. Erection of first greenhouse this winter or early sprin.
