AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commis-
sion and rezoning property at 502 and 504 West Nob
Hill Boulevard from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to B-3,
General Business Zone.

WHEREAS, after proper petition and due notice, hearings have
been held by the Planning Commission and by the City Council of the
City of Yakima on the application of Billington Builders Supply,
Inc., to rezone property situated at 502 and 504 West Nob Hill Boule-
vard in the City of Yakima, Washington, which property is more parti-
cularly described below, from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to B-3, General
Business Zone, and
WHEREAS, as a result of its hearing on February 4, 1975, the
Planning Commission has recommended approval of such rezone applica-
tion, and
WHEREAS, on February 24, 1975, the City Council held its hearing
on such application and as a result thereof finds that to grant such
• rezone application would not be detrimental to the neighboring area,
and that to grant such rezone would be in accord with good planning
and with the intent of the General Plan of the City of Yakima, and
that the highest and best use for said property is for General Busi-
ness Zone, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The applicationof Billington Builders Supply, Inc.,
to rezone property at 502 and 504 West Nob Hill Boulevard, Yakima,
Washington, legally described as follows:
PARCEL A:
The East 60 feet of Lot 5, Block 1, Lennox Avenue Addition,
according to the official plat thereof recorded in Volume "I" of
Plats, page 36, records of Yakima County, Washington;
PARCEL B:
The north 62 feet of the south 124 feet of Lot 1, Block 1, Lennox
Avenue Addition, according to the official plat thereof recorded
in Volume "I" of Plats, page 36, records of Yakima County, Wash-
ington,
from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone, is hereby

granted; and said property is hereby zoned as General Business
Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and
depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared

by and for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this
ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
