AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of a public alley in the
City of Yakima, Washington.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Council of the
City of Yakima requesting the vacation of the hereinafter described
411 public alley, and
WHEREAS, a hearing by the City Council was duly held on said
petition, and as a result of such hearing the City Council finds
it to be in the best interests of the City of Yakima that said peti-
tion be granted and that said public alley be vacated, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The following described alley in the City of Yakima,
Washington, to wit:
The north-south alley in Block 250, The Town of North Yakima,
now Yakima, as recorded in Volume "E" of plats, page 1,
records of Yakima County, Washington,
be, and the same is hereby, vacated.
Section 2. The City of Yakima hereby reserves all necessary
easements and rights-of-way for the installation and maintenance
of any and all water mains, sewers or utilities of any and all kinds
which may now exist in said street or which it may hereafter desire
to construct therein, and no building or other structure shall be
constructed on any portion of said vacated street without the prior
approval of the City.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
