ORDINANCE NO. 4.1c0.-/ AN ORDINANCE relating to public safety and morals; providing penalty for violation of certain sections of Title 6 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code; amending Sections 6.02.010 and 6.02.050 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code; and declaring an emergency. if BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. Section 6.02.010 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 6.02.010 Attempt defined--How punished. An act done with intent to commit any crime defined by an ordinance of the City of Yakima, and tending but failing to accomplish it, is an attempt to commit that crime; and every person who attempts to commit such a crime shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine in any sum not exceeding two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) or by imprisonment in the city jail facility for a term not exceeding ninety days." Section 2. Section 6.02.050 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "6.02.050 Violation--Penalty. It is unlawful for any person to violate any provision or to fail to comply with any requirement of Title 6 of this code. Any person who violates any of the provisions or fails to comply with any of the man- • datory requirements of this title, or who is convicted of being a disorderly person or vagrant, or who is convicted of having committed a misdemeanor in violation of this title shall be punished by a fine of not more than two hundred fifty dollars or by imprisonment in the city jail facility for not more than ninety days." Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare • of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
