AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Cohomission //
to modify the Planned Development Zone applicable to ./
certain property situated near the northeast corner of
Summitview Avenue and North 56th Avenue in the City of
Yakima, Washington.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of
the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 29th day of May, 1973, upon
the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima
that the existing Planned Development Zone applicable to real property
situated near the northeast corner of Summitview Avenue and North 56th
Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington, the legal description of
which is set out hereinbelow, be modified and zoned to Planned Develop-
ment Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
• Planning Commission for such modification should be approved for the
reasons that such modification is in accord with good planning and with
the General Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of the
411 property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change; that the
highest and best use of said property is for Planned Development Zone,
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The recommendation of. the Planning Commission of the
City of Yakima that the existing Planned Development Zone applicable to
the following described real property situated near the northeast cor-
ner of Summitview Avenue and North 56th Avenue in the City of Yakima,
Washington, and more particularly described as follows, to wit:
That part of the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of
Section 21, Township 13 North, Range 18, E W M
. . .$ lying south of
Yakima Valley Canal right of way and west of the following des-
cribed line:

Beginning at a point on the south line of said subdivision 373.3
feet east of its southwest corner; thence north 0 west 150
feet; thence west 188 feet; thence south 150 feet; thence east
188 feet to the point of beginning;
be modified and zoned to Planned Development Zone be; and the same is
hereby approved and said property is hereby rezoned to Planned Develop-
ment Zone, all in accordance with, and to conform to, the final
development plan and prograt therefor approved by the Yakima Planning
Commission, a copy of which is attached hereto and by reference made a
part hereof.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and
depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by
411 and for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30
days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and
by the City Charter.
