AN ORDINANCE appropriating the amount of $27,616 in 199-Federal Shared
Revenue Fund and transferring that amount to 000-General
Fund; and appropriating the amount of $27,616 to various
accounts as 1973 appropriations for 000-General Fund.
WHEREAS, 199-Federal Shared Revenue Fund contains money available
III for appropriation and transfer as provided by this ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the amount of $27,616 must be transferred from 199-
Federal Shared Revenue Fund to 000-General Fund and appropriated to
various accounts therein to pay for public safety training program
equipment and to fund a summer employment program for disadvantaged
youth, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1973 Budget it could
not reasonably have been foreseen that such additional appropriation
would be required; and the City Council finds that an emergency exists
of the type contemplated by R.C.W. 35.33.091 and that it is in the best
interests of the City to make the appropriation herein provided, now,
• therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The amount of $27,616 is hereby_appropriated from un-
appropriated money in 199-Federal Shared Revenue Fund for transfer
therefrom to 000-General Fund and for appropriation therein as provided
by this ordinance.
Section 2. As the appropriation provided by Section 1 of this
ordinance becomes effective, the amount of $27,616 is hereby transferred
from 199-Federal Shared Revenue Fund to 000-General Fund.
Section 3. As the transfer provided by Section 2 hereof becomes
effective, the amount of $27,616 is hereby appropriated within 000-
. General Fund to the following respective accounts in the following res-
pective amounts: •

Section 4. The Director of Finance and City Treasurer of the
City of Yakima are hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers to
carry out this ordinance.
Section 5. This ordinance is one making appropriations and shall

provided by law and by the City Charter.
