These changes shall be reported to the City Council if it • is a precinct lying within a first class city. We have two precincts that are in this catagory. They are Precinct 52 and Precinct 64. Since this is a very time consuming task, it is important that this be given immediate attention. After boundaries are established each new precinct must be given a name or number; each registered voter in each precinct involved in a change of boundary must be considered individ- ually as to the location of his residence to determine whether or not he remains registered in his current precinct; each voter who is assigned a new precinct must be notified of his new precinct no later than 30 days prior to an election. Also, consideration must be given to notification of voters in cities and districts holding special elections. (We are expecting several special elections to be held starting the end of January). The newly drawn precincts are designed to absorb expected growth. Maps are attached showing the proposed precinct changes. Current Name of Precinct No. of Reg. Voters Proposed Name of Precinct No. of Reg.Vote: 111 Yakima 52 833 Yakima 52 492 Yakima 64 729 Yakima 64 418 The additional 341 voters from precinct 52 will now be in precinct 77 Yakima. The additional 302 voters from precinct 64 will now be in precinct 78 Yakima. CHET HATEIE 1 COUNTY OR YAKIMA COSITY, WASHINGTON 111/ T .166OO CC •..
