AN ORDINANCE transferring the amount of $30,000 from 199-Federal
Shared Revenue Fund to 000-General Fund and appro-
priating that amount to Account 034.562.90.31.400
as a .1974 appropriation for 000-General Fund.
WHEREAS, 199-Federal Shared Revenue Fund contains the amount
of $30,000 available for transfer and appropriation as provided
by this ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the amount of $30,000 must be transferred from 199-
Federal Shared Revenue Fund to 000-General Fund for appropriation
therein to provide a grant to Yakima County for the benefit of
and to be expended for a demonstration detoxification project by
the Yakima County Commission on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1974 Budget it
could not reasonably have been foreseen that such additional
Appropriation would be required; and the City Council finds that
110 an emergency exists of the type contemplated by R.C.W. 35.33.091
and that it Tj s in the best interests of the City to make the
appropriation herein provided, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The amount of $30,000 is hereby transferred from
Account 199519.80.42 of 199-Federal Shared Revenue Fund to 000-
General Fund.
Section 2. As the transfer authorized by Section 1 above of
this ordinance becomes effective, the amount of $30,000 is hereby
appropriated from unappropriated money in 000-General Fund to Account
034.562.90.31.400 as a 1974 appropriation for 000-General Fund.
Section 3. The Director of Finance and City Treasurer of the
City of Yakima are hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers
to carry out this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance is one making an appropriation
and shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
