ORDINANCE NO. /( c D
AN ORDINANCE rezoning property at 1101 Landon Avenue in the City
of Yakima from R -2, Two Family Zone, to Planned Develop-
ment Zone.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due notice, hearings have been held by
the Planning Commission and the City Council of the City of Yakima
on the Resolution of Intention of the City Council to rezone property
described below owned by Earl C. Grissom and Bertha E. Grissom,
husband and wife, and
WHEREAS, as a result of the hearing held by the City Council
on April 22, 1974, the City Council finds that the property owners
and residents in the area of the property for which the rezone is
sought are in favor of granting the rezone and that the developments
in that area are largely commercial in nature at the present time;
and because of the existing commercial development and the proximity
of the property to the Nob Hill railroad overpass and the railroad
yard, the City Council believes that residential development is
unlikely to occur in the area and on the property which is the sub-
ject of this proceeding; and the City Council further finds as a
result of its hearing that the property should be rezoned as a
Planned Development Zone, now, therefore,
