AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain streets and
alleys; and amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1390,
passed February 28, 1972, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE provid-
ing for the improvement of certain streets and alleys by
• grading, ballasting, surfacing with asphaltic concrete and
constructing concrete curbs and gutters, together with
necessary drainage features; establishing a Local Improve -
ment District, providing for the method of payment thereof,
and creating a special fund "; and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1390, passed February 28,
1972, and. entitled "AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of cer-
tain streets and alleys by grading, ballasting, surfacing with asphal-
tic concrete and constructing concrete curbs and gutters, together
with necessary drainage features; establishing a Local Improvement Dis-
trict, providing for the method of payment thereof, and creating a
special fund" is hereby amended to read as follows:
• "Section 1. The following streets situate in Yakima County,
Washington, shall be improved by grading, ballasting, surfacing
with asphaltic concrete and constructing concrete curbs and
gutters, together with necessary drainage features:
1. West Logan Avenue from South 20th Avenue to South 22nd
Avenue;
2. The south one -half of West Logan Avenue from the center-
line of 22nd Avenue to a point 335.26 feet west there-
of;
3. The east one -half of South 22nd Avenue from the center -
line of Viola Avenue to the centerline of West Logan
Avenue;
4. West Way, west from 42nd Avenue . including cul -de -sac;
and
5. Maners Lane north of Tieton Drive adjacent to Lots 9 and
10, West Hills Courts Addition;
and the following alleys shall be improved by grading, ballasting
• and surfacing with asphaltic concrete together with necessary
drainage features:
1. Alley in Block 66, The Town of North Yakima, between 3rd
and 4th Streets from "D" to "E" Street; and
2. Alley in Block 332, Capitol Addition, between 7th and
8th Avenues from Chestnut to Walnut Street."
Section 2. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare
of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by
law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 10th day of
April, 1972.
