AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of a portion of Barge Street
in the City of Yakima, Washington.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Council of the
City of Yakima requesting the vacation of the hereinafter described
street, and
WHEREAS, a hearing by the City Council was duly held on said
petition, and as a result of such hearing the City Council finds it
to be in the best interests of the City of Yakima that said petition
be granted and that said street be vacated, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the following described street in the City of
Yakima, Washington, to-wit:
The south 20 feet and the north 20 feet of Barge Street (Avenue)
from the west line of 41st Avenue, according to the plat of
Scenic Hills Addition, recorded in Volume "S" of Plats, page
6, records of Yakima County, Washington, to the east line of
• 42nd Avenue, according to the plat of Beverly Heights Addition,
recorded in Volume "M" of Plats, page 26, records of Yakima
County, Washington;
a public utility easement to be retained between the two follow-
ing described lines: East of a line that runs from a point on
the north line of Lot 10,8 feet west of the northeast corner
of said lot to a point on the south line of Lot 11, 15 feet west
of the southeast corner of said lot all in plat of Beverly
Heights Addition; and West of a line that runs from a point on
the north line of Lot 1, 8 feet east of the northwest corner of
said Lot to a point on the south line of Lot 14, 8 feet east of
the southwest corner of said lot all in plat of Scenic Hills
Addition;
be, and the same is hereby, vacated.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
30 days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by
law and by the City Charter.
