HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/19/1975 Special Meeting ,r,75 MAY 19, 1975 1 1 SPECIAL MEETING - 3:00 P.M. - MAY 19, 1975 The City Council met in special session on this date at 3:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers at Yakima City Hall to review and award the bid for purchase of the City's issue of $600,000 . Limited Tax Levy General Obligation Bonds for a Bicentennial Pavilion Convention Center. Councilmen present at the meeting were Mayor Bert Broad, Wray Brown, Betty L. Edmondson, Dick Jarms, W. K. "Pete" Moore, Don Schussler and Dr. Bill Simmons.AlSo present was City Manager McMicken. Mr. Steve Norman of Foster and Marshall, gave a review of the four bond bids received and considered at 11:00 a.m. cp_this date, as outlined by the Bid Summary made available to Councilmen. The four bids were submitted by Rainier National Bank, Bank of Yakima, Seattle First National Bank and Pacific National Bank. He reported that the Rainier bid showed the lowest rate of interest at 6.687.4 percent. He-recomfilended the bid:beawarded_tORainier National Bank. It was MOVED by Schussler, 'seconded by Brown that the issue of bonds be awarded to Rainier National Bank at 6.687.4 percent interest: carried, Broad, Brown, Edmondson, Jarms, Moore, Schussler and Simmons voting aye by voice vote. There being no further business to come before the Council, it was MOVED by Simmons, seconded by Moore that we do now adjourn at the hour of 3:10 P.M.: carried, Broad, Brown, Edmondson, Jarms, Moore, Schussler and Simmons voting aye by voice vote.
