ORDINANCE NO . /,,2 7
AN ORDINANCE relating to the City Garage Fund; specifying the pur-
poses of such fund; establishing rates for the rental
of equipment through such fund; and amending Sections
3.15.010 and 3.15.030 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
• Section 1. Section 3.15.010 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"3.15.010 Fund Created -- Purposes. There is hereby
created a special equipment rental fund known as the City
Garage Fund. Such fund shall be used as a revolving fund
to be expended for salaries, wages and operations required
for the repair, replacement, purchase and operation of equip-
ment for the Street Division, Municipal Garbage Division,
Engineering Division, Traffic Engineering Division and Cemetery
Division of the Public Works Department, for the Irrigation_
Division and Water -Sewer Division of the Public Utilities- -
Department, for the Planning Division and Inspection Division
of the Department of Planning and Community Development, for
the Records Department, City Hall Department and Finance Depart-
ment, and for the purchase of equipment, materials and supplies
to be used in the administration and operation of such fund.
The fund shall be used to purchase and sell equipment, materials
and supplies and to pay rental for equipment, materials and
supplies by the City from other public or private persons, firms
or corporations, all as may be required by such divisions and
. departments as mentioned above."
Section 2. Section 3.15.030 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"3.15.030 Rental of Equipment - -Rates Established. Effec-
tive January 1, 1971, equipment, materials and supplies owned
by the City Garage Fund may be rented for the use of various
offices and departments of the City of Yakima on the terms and
at the rates specified in the following schedule:

The rental rate per month specified in this section shall
be applicable to equipment, materials and supplies actually
rented for a minimum of 1 week. The rental rate per hour
specified in this section shall be applicable to equipment,
materials and supplies rented for a period of time less than
one week.
Proceeds received from the rental of such equipment,
materials and supplies shall be placed in the City Garage
Fund."
Section 3. The terms and rates for rental of equipment through
the City Garage Fund, as specified by Section 3.15.030 of the City
of Yakima Municipal Code prior to its amendment by this ordinance,
shall remain in full force and effect through December 31, 1970.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 31st day of
