AN ORDINANCE annexing property to the City of Yakima, and zoning said
property.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been held in accordance with all
applicable laws for the annexation to the City of Yakima of the
property hereinafter described, and
Al0 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima duly held
a public hearing on the zoning of said property hereinafter described
and annexed and, as a result of said hearing, duly recommended that
said property be annexed to the City of Yakima and zoned as herein-
after specified, and
WHEREAS, a hearing was duly held on such annexation by a Review
Board as required by law and as a result of such hearing the Review
Board made and entered its findings and recommendations with respect
to such annexation and recommended to the City Council that the said
property be annexed to the City of Yakima, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council held
410 a public hearing on said annexation on the 7th day of December, 1970;
and, as a result thereof, finds that such property should be annexed
to the City of Yakima and further finds that the property should be
zoned as hereinafter set forth for the reasons that such zoning and
classification is in accord with good planning and with the General
Plan of the City of Yakima, that the majority of the property owners
in the vicinity do not oppose the classification or the annexation,
that the needs of the City and community do require the hereinafter
set forth zoning classification, and that the highest and best use for
said property is as hereinafter determined, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
411 Section 1. The following described property contiguous to the

City of Yakima is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima, Washington:
Beginning at the northeast corner of tha north half of the
southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 21,
Tcwnship 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., thence southerly along the
east line to the southeast corner of said subdivision, thence
westerly along the south line of said subdivision to its inter-
section with the east line extended of Lot 18, Arleta plat,
according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume "0" of plats,
page 44, records of Yakima County, Washington, thence southerly
along the east property line of Lots 18 through 25 extended of
said plat to the south line of the southeast quarter of the
southeast quarter of Section 21, Township 13 North, Range 18,
E.W.M., thence westerly along said south line to the southwest
corner of said subdivision; thence northerly to the northwest
corner of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of
Section 2.1, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., thence easterly
along the north line of said subdivision to its intersection with
•' a line which is parallel to and 8 feet east of the west line of
Lot and Lot 36 extended of McCargar's Westside tracts,
according to plat thereof recorded in Volume "V" of plats, page
32, records of Yakima County, Washington, thence southerly
along said line to the south line of Lot 36, thence easterly
along the south line of Lots 36, 37, to the southeast corner of
Lot 37, thence northerly along the east line and east line
extended of Lot 37 to its intersection with the south line of
the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 21,
Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.; thence westerly along said
south line to a point that is 330 feet westerly of the southeast
corner of said subdivision, thence northerly 660 feet parallel
to the east line of said subdivision, thence easterly 330 feet
parallel to the south line of said subdivision to the west line
of the west half of the northwest quarter of the southwest quar-
ter of the southwest quarter of Section 22, Township 13 North,
Range 18, E.W.M., thence northerly to the northwest corner of
said subdivision, thence easterly to the northeast corner of
said subdivision, thence southerly to the southeast corner of
said subdivision, thence westerly to the southwest corner of
said west half of the northwest quarter of the southwest quarter
of Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., to the point
• of beginning.
Section 2. The owners of the hereinbefore described real
property annexed to the City of Yakima shall be required to assume
existing indebtednesses of the City of Yakima.
Ser.tion 3. The hereinbefore described real property annexed to
the City of Yakima is hereby zoned as follows:
(a) The following described property is hereby zoned as
M -1, Light Industrial Zone:
Beginning at the northwest corner of the southeast quarter of
the southeast quarter of Section 21, Township 13 North, Range
18, E.W.M., thence eat along the north line of said subdivi-
sion 403.00 feet, thence southerly and parallel to the west
line of said subdivision 660.: feet to thQpnorth line of

Arleta Plat according to the plat thereofecorded in Volume
"C' of plats, page 44, records of Yakima County, Washington,
thence westerly along said north line to an intersection vith
the east line of Lot 18 extended of said plat, thence southerly
along the east property li of Lots 18 through 25 and Lot 25
extended of said plat to the south line of the southeast quar-
ter of the southeast quarter of Section 21, Township 13 North,
Range 18, E.W.M. , thence westerly along said south line to the
soutt est corner of said subdivision, thence northerly al o.
the west line of said subdivi=sion to the point of beginning

(b) The following described property is hereby zoned as
R-2, Two-Family Zone:
Beginning at the northeast corner of the north half of the
southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 21,
Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., thence southerly along
the east line to the southeast corner of said subdivision,
thence westerly along the south line of said subdivision to
its intersection with a line which is parallel to and 403 feet
!II east of the west line of said subdivision, thence northerly
along said line to the north line of said subdivision, thence
easterly along the north line of said subdivision to its inter-
section with a line which is parallel to and 8 feet east of
the west line of Lot 36 and Lot 36 extended of McCargar's
Westside tracts, according to plat thereof recorded in Volume
"V" of plats, page 32, records of Yakima County, Washington,
thence southerly along said line to the south line of Lot 36,
thence easterly along the south line of Lots 36, 37, to the
southeast corner of Lot 37, thence northerly along the east
line and east line extended of Lot 37 to its intersection with
the north line of said subdivision, thence easterly along said
north line to the point of beginning.
(c) The following described property is hereby zoned as R-1,
Single Family Zone:
The south 66 feet of the east 330 feet of the northeast quarter
of the southeast quarter of Section 21, Township 13 North,
Range 18, E.W.M., and the west half of the northwest quarter of
the southwest quarter of Section 22, Township 13 North, Range
18, E.W.M.
Section 4. The next regularly amended Use District Map prepared
by and for the City of Yakima shall show said property as hereinbefore
zoned and classified.
Spction 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file a certified copy of this ordinance with the County Auditor of
Yakima County and with the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima
County, Washington.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30
days after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by
law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 7th day of
