HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-1305 ORDINANCE NO. /30 AN ORDINANCE transferring the amount of $1000 from 021-Dept. of Planning and Community Development to 132-Dangerous Building Repair and Demolition Fund; and appropriating $1000 within i32-Dangerous Building Repair and Demolition Fund.1 WHEREAS, a surplus of $100 exists in Account 517.20.11, Salaries and Wages, of the 1971 appropriation for 021-Dept. of Planning and Community Development, so as to be available for transfer as provided in this prdinance, and WHEREAS, the amount of $1000 is required to be ' transferred to and appropriated within 132-D Building Repair and Demolition Fund, as provided by this ordinance, in order to pay expenses of demolishing dangerous buildings, and WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1971 Budget, it could not reasonably have been foreseen that such additional appro- priation would be required; and the City Council finds that an emergency exists of the type contemplated by R.C.W. 35.33.091 and that it is in the best interests of the City to make the transfer and appropriation herein provided, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. The amount of $1000 is hereby transferred from Account 517.20.11, Salaries and Wages, of the 1971 appropriation for 021-Department of Planning and Community Development, to 132- Dangerous Building Repair and Demolition Fund. Section 2. The amount of $1000, transferred according to Section 1 of this ordinance, is hereby appropriated to Account 535.00.42, Miscellaneous, of the 1971 appropriation for 132-Dangerous Building Repair and Demolition Fund. Section 3. The Director of Finance and Treasurer of the City of Yakima are hereby directed to make the necessary transfers to comply with this ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance is one making an appropriation and 411 shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
