' AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission and rezoning certain property Situated at 406, 408-and. 410 North 23rd Avenue, in the City of Yakima, Washington,. from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to R-3„ Multiple-Family Zone.. ) • WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, theCity Council of the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 3rd day of January, 1972, upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission .that real property Situated at 406,.408 and 410 North 23rd Avenue, within the City of Yakima,.Washington, the legal description of which is set out herein- below, be rezoned from 11,2, Two-Family Zone, to R-3, Multiple-Family' Zone, and -UNEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the . - • reasons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with ,the General Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property • owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification; that the needs Of the City and community do require such change and that the highest and best use of said property is for Multiple-Family , Zone, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. The recommendation of the Planning Commission of the • , City of Yakima that the following described real property situated at • 406, 408 and 410'North 23rd Avenue in the City of Yakima, Waskngton, and more particularly described as follows, to wit: . Lots 24,.25 and 26, Hill Subdivision according to the official . plat thereof recorded in Volume "M" of Plats, page 2, records of Yakima County, Washington; be rezoned from R-2 Two-Family Zone, to 11 Multiple-Family Zone, 411 be, and the same hereby, approved and said real property is hereby rezoned Zone. Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and depicted on the next regularly'amended:Use District Map prepared by and for the City. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days after Its passage, approval and publication as provided by 111 law and by the City Charter.
