HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-1369 ORDINANCE NO. /?4)' AN ORDINANCE appropriating the amount of $75,000 within 382-Cumulative Reserve Fund for Capital Improvements and transferring that amount from that fund to 143-Urban Arterial Street Fund. WHEREAS, money is available in 382-Cumulative Reserve Fund for Capital Improvements for appropriation therein and for transfer to 143-Urban Arterial Street Fund to repay loans to that fund and to make current payments due on arterial improvement projects, all as contem- plated and authorized by this ordinance in accordance with applicable budget laws, including Chapter 3.80, "Cumulative Reserve Fund for Capital Improvements", of the City of Yakima Municipal. Code, and WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1971 Budget, it could not reasonably have been foreseen that the appropriation and transfer provided for herein would be required, and the City Council finds that the best interests of the City require that such appropriation and 41 0transfer be made, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. The amount of $75,000 is hereby appropriated within 382-Cumulative Reserve Fund for Capital Improvements for transfer te 143-Urban Arterial Fund for expenditure therefrom to repay loans to that fund and to pay current project costs. Section 2. The amount of $75,000, appropriated by Section 1 of this ordinance, is hereby transferred from 382-Cumulative Reserve Fund for Capital Improvements to 143-Urban Arterial Street Fund for the pur- poses mentioned in Section 1 of this ordinance. Section 3. The Director of Finance and City Treasurer of the City •of Yakima are hereby authorized to make thP necessary transfeLs to carry out this ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance is one making an appropriation and shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
