AN ORDINANCE accepting the grant of property for street purposes and
naming said street Longfibre Avenue; and declaring an
emergency;
. WHEREAS, the Union Pacific Railroad Company has delivered a
deed to the City of Yakima conveying property to the City for street
purposes, which property is described below, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interests
of the city that such deed and conveyance be accepted and that the
street existing on the conveyed property be named Longfibre Avenue,
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The City of Yakima does hereby accept the con-
veyance to it from the Union Pacific Railroad Company of the proper-
ty situated in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, des -
cribed as follows:
The West 60 feet of the East half of the Northwest quarter
of the Southeast quarter of Section 31, Township 13 North,
Range 19 East, Willamette Meridian; excepting therefrom
the following:
1. The North 30 feet thereof.
2. The South 31 feet thereof.
in accordance with a deed dated April 3, 1969, naming the Union
Pacific Railroad Company, a corporation, as grantor, and the City of
Yakima, a municipal corporation, as grantee.
Section 2. The street existing on the property described in
Section 1 hereof is hereby named Longfibre Avenue.
Section 3. This Ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
• preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and
welfare of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is here-
by declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 12th day
of May, 1969,
