AN ORDINANCE appropriating the amount of $8,500 from unappropriated
money in 340 -City Garage Fund to Account 7 -550, Automo-
tive Fuels, Lubricants and Parts, of the Maintenance and
Operation classification of the 1969 appropriation for
340 -City Garage Fund.
WHEREAS, there is unappropriated money in 340 -City Garage Fund
of the City of Yakima, and
WHEREAS, the amount of $8,500 is required to be appropriated to
Account 7 -550, Automotive Fuels, Lubricants and Parts, of said fund
in order to reimburse the fund for money paid to private contractors
for snow removal during January, 1969, which reimbursement is neces-
sary in order to pay for the current year's garage operations, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1969 Budget it could
not have reasonably been foreseen that such additional appropriation
would be required; and the City Council finds that an emergency exists
of the type contemplated in R.C.W. 35.33.090 and that it is in the
0 best interests of the City to make the appropriation herein provided,
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The amount of $8,500 is hereby appropriated from un-
appropriated money in 340 -City Garage Fund, to Account 7 -550, Auto-
motive Fuels, Lubricants and Parts, of the Maintenance and Operation
classification of the 1969 appropriation for 340 -City Garage Fund.
Section 2. This ordinance is one making an appropriation and
shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publica-
tion as provided by law and by the City Charter.
