AN ORDINANCE creating and adopting Chapter 3.76, "Southeast Yakima
Community Center Fund" as a new chapter of. the City of
Yakima Municipal Code; creating, defining the purpose of,
specifying the source of and regulating expenditures from .
such fund; appropriating $495,826 within such fund; and
declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. There is hereby created and adopted a new chapter of
the City of Yakima Municipal Code which new chapter shall be numbered
and shall read as follows:
"CHAPTER 3.76
Southeast Yakima Community Center Fund
Sections:
3.76.010 Fund Created -- Purpose.
3.76.020 Source of Funds.
3.76.030 Expenditures.
3.76.010 Fund Created -- Purpose.
There is hereby created a special fund to be known as the
Southeast Yakima Community Center Fund (Fund No. 680). The
money in the fund shall be used to pay costs incurred for the
• construction of the Southeast Yakima Community Center.
3.76.020 Source of Funds.
All money allocated to the City of Yakima by the Department
of Housing and Urban Development as a Neighborhood Facilities
Grant and /or Relocation Grant for Project # Wash. N -8, cash
contributed by the City of Yakima, and cash contributed by
Operation Coalition and money from such other sources as may
become legally available shall be deposited into the fund.
3.76.030 Expenditures.
Expenditures from the Southeast Yakima Community Center Fund
shall be made only for the purposes specified in Section 3.76.010
of the City of Yakima Municipal Code. No expenditure shall be
made from such fund unless the Yakima City Council shall approve
such expenditure by passing an ordinance appropriating money
within the fund for the purpose for which the expenditure is to
he made, or by including an appropriation for such purpose in
the budget."
,Section 2. The amount of $495,826 is anticipated to be received
by the City for deposit in 680- Southeast Yakima Community Center Fund;
and that amount composed of the following amounts from the following

is hereby appropriated in 680-Southeast Yakima Community Center Fund,
to Account 680-7-950, Construction Expenditures, of the Capital Out-
lay classification within such fund. The appropriation hereby made is
a nonlapsing appropriation to be expended in accordance with the
provisions of Chapter 3.76 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code as
created by Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance is one making an appropriation and is
to provide for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
property, health, safety and welfare of the people of the City of
Yakima and an emergency is hereby declared to exiet and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage,

PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 18th day of
