ORDINANCE NO. 1000
AN ORDINANCE annexing property to the City of Yakima, and zoning said
property.
WHEREAS, proceedings have. been held in accordance with all appli-
Am, cable laws for the annexation to the City of Yakima of the property
hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima duly held
a public,hearing on the zoning of said property hereinafter described
and annexed and,, as a result of said hearing, duly recommended that
said property be annexed to the City of Yakima and zoned as hereinafter
specified, and
WHEREAS, a hearing by a Review Board on such annexation has been
waived, as permitted by law, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council held
a public hearing on said annexation on the 12th day of February ,
I 9 68 ; and, as a result thereof, finds that such property should be
411 annexed to the City of Yakima and further finds that the property
should be zonedas hereinafter set forth for the reasons that such
zoning and classification is in accord with good planning and with
the General Plan of the City of Yakima, that the majority of the
property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the classification or
the annexation,. that the needs of the City and community do require
the hereinafter set forth zoning classification, and that the highest
and best use for said property is as hereinafter determined, now,
therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section The following described property contiguous to the
410City of Yakima is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima, Washington:

Beginning at the northwest corner of the northeast quarter
of the southwest quarter of Seetion`27, Township 13 North,
Range 18, E.WM, in Yakima County, Washington; thence
east along the centerline of West Nob Hill Boulevard 86.
feet; thence south and parallel to the west line of said
northeast quarter 208.0 feet; thence east and parallel with
the centerline of West Nob Hill Boulevard 82.0 feet; thence
south and parallel to the west line of said northeast quar-
ter to a point lying 630 feet north of the south line of
said northeast quarter; thence east and parallel to the
south line of said northeast quarter 134.65 feet; thence
south and parallel to the west line of said northeast
quarter 300 feet; thence west and parallel to the south
line of said northeast quarter 328.65 feet to the west
right of way line of South 44th Avenue; thence .. north and
parallel to the west line of said northeast quarter to the
south line of Lot 11, Meyer's Plat as recorded in Volume ''O"
of Plats, Page 46, records of Yakima County, Washington;
thence west along the south line of Lot 11 of said Meyer's
Plat, to the west line of said Meyer's Plat; thence north
along the west line and west line extended of said Meyer's
Plat to the centerline of West Nob Hill Boulevard; thence
east along the centerline of West Nob Hill Boulevard to
the point of beginning.
Section 2. The owners of the hereinbefore described real proper-
ty annexed to the City of Yakima shall be required to assume existing
indebtednesses of the City of Yakima.
Section 3. In accordance with the recommendations of the Plann-
ing Commission of the City of Yakima, said property is hereby zoned as
R -1, Single Family Zone.
Section 4. The next regularly amended Use District Map prepared
by and for the City of Yakima shall show said property as hereinbefore
zoned and classified.
Section 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file a certified copy of this ordinance with the County Auditor of
Yakima County and the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima County.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30
days after its final passage, approval and publication, as provided by
law and by the City Charter.
. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 12th day of
February, 1968.
