• AN ORDINANCE rezoning property situated on Glen Drive between
Summitview Avenue and West Chestnut from R -1, One Family
Zone, to R -3, Multiple Family Zone, on the application
of Lester O. Beaver and Syble M. Beaver.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due notice, hearings were held by the
Planning Commission of the City of Yakima on January 3, 1968, and
February 6, 1968, and by the Yakima City Council on January 22,
1968, and February 26, 1968, on the application of Lester O. Beaver
and Syble M. Beaver, and others, to rezone property situated on
Glen Drive between Summitview Avenue and West Chestnut, in the City
of Yakima, more particularly described hereinbelow, and
WHEREAS, as a result of such hearings, the City Council finds
• that such application for rezoning should be granted on the grounds
that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the
General Plan of the City of Yakima, and that the needs of the City
and community do require such change and that the highest and best
use of said property is for multiple family zone purposes, now,
therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The following described property situated in the
City of Yakima, Washington, to -wit:
Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 Glenn Acres Addition, according
to the official 'plat thereof, recorded in Volume "F" of
Plats, Page 10, records of Yakima County, Washington; and
Lots 6 and 7, Nagle's Nob Hill Half Acre Tracts, according
• to the official plat thereof, recorded in Volume "E" of
Plats, Page 31, records of Yakima County, Washington;
is hereby rezoned from R -1, One Family Zone, to R -3, Multiple
Family Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and
depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by
and for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this Ordinance,
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30
days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law
and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 26th day
of February, 1968.
