AN ORDINANCE appropriating the amount of $2,000,000 to Account 7 -950,
Construction Expenditures, of the Capital Outlay Classi-
fication of the Domestic Water Improvement Fund.
WHEREAS, the Domestic Water Improvement Fund of the City of Yakima
contains unappropriated money in the amount of $2,000,000 consisting
• of proceeds from the sale of the City's 1968 Water -Sewer Revenue Bonds,
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that said unappropriated money be appro-
priated to Account 7 -950, Construction Expenditures, of the Capital
Outlay Classification within said fund in order to pay costs of con-
structing additions and improvements to the domestic water system of
the City of Yakima, as contemplated by Section 3.72.010 of the City of
Yakima Municipal Code, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1968 Budget, it could
not have reasonably been forseen that such additional appropriation
would be required, and the City Council finds that an emergency exists
• of the type contemplated in R.C.W. 35.33.090, and that it is in the
best interests of the people of the City of Yakima to make the appro-
priation herein provided, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The amount of $2,000,000 is hereby appropriated from
unappropriated money in the Domestic Water Improvement Fund to Account
7 -950, Construction Expenditures, of the Capital Outlay Classification
therein.
Section 2. This ordinance is one making an appropriation and
shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication
as provied by law and by the City Charter.
