Election on November 5, 1968; and prescribing a ballot title. r 7 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. A source of fluoridation approved by the Washing- ", ton State Department of Health shall be added to the water supply of the City of Yakima under the rules and regulations of the Washington State Department of Health, such addition to be adminis- tered by the Public Utilities Department of the City of Yakima. Section 2. The City Council of the City of Yakima does hereby find and declare that an emergency does exist so as to require a • special election for the referendum of this Ordinance to the electorate of the City of Yakima, and this Ordinance shall be sub- mitted to the qualified electors (voters) of the City of Yakima at a special election to be held in conjunction with the Washington State General. Election to be held on November 5, 1968, for their • adoption or rejection. The proposition shall be voted on in the following manner: There shall be placed on the ballot a statement of the substance of this Ordinance by a proposition in the following form: PROPOSITION Fluoridation of Cit Water Su..1 Shall a source of fluoridation approved by the Washington State Department of Health be added to the water supply of the City of Yakima, all as contemplated and provided by Ordinance No. passed by the Yakima City Council on FLUORIDATION Yes I FLUORIDATION No / / 111 Every qualified elector (voter) at such election desiring to vote in favor of the adoption of this Ordinance shall vote "Yes" on such proposition; and every qualified elector (voter) at such election desiring to vote for the rejection of this Ordinance shall vote "No" on such proposition. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
