AN ORDINANCE amending Section 6.04.595 of the City of Yakima
Municipal Code; increasing the penalty for a violation
of Chapter 6.04 of said Yakima Municipal Code.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. Section 6.04.595 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"6.04.595 Penalty for Violation. Any person convicted
of being a disorderly person or vagrant, or convicted of
violating any of the provisions of this chapter, shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. Unless another penalty is
expressly provided by law, every person convicted of such
misdemeanor shall be punished by a fine of not more than
Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment in the
City Jail for not more than six (6) months, or by both such
fine and imprisonment."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
• thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 7th day
of October, 1968.
