ORDINANCE NO. 00
AN ORDINANCE relating to the City Garage Fund; amending Section
3.15.010 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code creating
such fund and declaring its purposes; and amending
Section 3.15.030 establishing rental rates for equip -
ment, materials and supplies owned by such fund; and
declaring an emergency
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That Section 3.15.010 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"3.15.010 FUND CREATED--PURPOSES. There is hereby
created a special equipment rental fund known as the City
Garage Fund. Such fund shall be used as a revolving fund
to be expended for salaries, wages and operations required
for the repair, replacement, purchase and operation of
equipment for the Street Division, Municipal Garbage Divi-
sion, Engineering Division and Cemetery Division of the
Public Works Department, and for the purchase of equipment,
materials and supplies to be used in the administration
and operation of such fund. The fund sha l I be used to
purchase and to sell equipment, materials and Supplies,
and to pay rental for equipment, materials and supplies,
by the city from other public or private persons, firms
or corporations, all as may be required by the Street Divi-
sion, Municipal Garbage Division, Engineering Division and
Cemetery Division of the Public Works Department."
Section 2. Section 3.15.030 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code
. is hereby amended to read as follows:
"3.15.030 RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT -RATES ESTABLISHED.
Equipment, materials and supplies owned by the City Garage
Fund, may be rented for the use of various offices and
departments of the City of Yakima on the terms and at the
rates specified in the following schedule:

Section 3. This Ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare
of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby declared
to exit and t h i s Ordinance sh a l I be in f u l l force and effect immed-
iately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law
and by the City Charter.
