AN ORDINANCE, repealing in its entirety, Ordinance No-790, passed by
the Yakima City Council on April 4,.1966, and entitled
"AN ORDINANCE proposing to the'voters of the City of
Yakima that the City purchase, acquire and construct
all properties, equipment and facilities necessary to .
establish, operate and maintain a motor coach system
• for the.transportation.of passengers for hire; specify-
. ing and adopting the system or plan proposed; declaring
the estimated cost thereof, as near as may be; providing
for the financing thereof; authorizing the levy and •
collection of a housing unit transit subsidy tax;
calling a special election to submit a proposition to
the voters of the City of Yakima for their ratification
or rejection of this ordinance; and declaring an
emergency. "; and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY'OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 790, passed by the Yakima City
Council on April 4, 1966, and entitled "AN ORDINANCE proposing to the
• voters of the City of Yakima that the City purchase, acquire and con-
struct all properties, equipment and facilities necessary to establish,
operate and maintain a motor coach system for the transportation of
passengers for hire; specifying and adopting the system or plan pro-
posed; declaring the estimated cost thereof, as near as may be; pro -
viding for the financing thereof; authorizing the levy and collection .
III of a housing unit transit subsidy tax; calling a special election to
submit a proposition to the voters of the City of Yakima for their
ratification or rejection of this ordinance; and declaring an emer-
gency. ", is hereby repealed in its entirety.
:section 2. This Ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and wel-
fare of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided
by 1z_w and by the City Charter.
