AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission to rezone property in the 2400 block on Lincoln Avenue, in the City of Yakima,' Washington, from R-I, One-Family Zone, to R-2, Two-Family Zone. WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 23rd day of May, 1966, upon 4 1/ the recommendation of the Planning that real property situated at the north side of Lincoln Avenue, between North 24th and North 25th Avenues, Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is set out hereinbelow, be rezoned from R-1, One-Family Zone, to R-2, Two-Family Zone, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the rea- sons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of proper- ty owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification; that the needs of the City and community do require such change and 0 that the highest and best use of said property is for two-family pur- poses, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima that the following described real property situated in the 2400 block on Lincoln Avenue, in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Lots 75, 76, 77 and 78 EXCEPT, the West 10 feet of Lot 75, all in Lundy Lane according to the plat in Volume "G" of Plats, Page 38, Yakima County, Washington; be rezoned from R-I, One-Family Zone, to R-2, Two-Family Zone, be, and the same is hereby, approved and said real property is hereby rezoned, Amk to R-2, Two-Family Zone. 11, Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and de- picted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and for the City. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the County Auditor a 'certified copy of this Ordinance. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
