HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-840 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of an alley in the City of Yakima, Washington. WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Council of the City of Yakima requesting the vacation of the hereinafter described alley, and WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the City Council, a hearing on said petition was set for the 3rd day of October, 1966, at the hour of 3:00 o'clock p.m., in the office of the City Council at the City Hall, Yakima, Washington, and notices thereof were duly given in the manner provided by statute and by the City Clerk of said City, said hearing was du I y continued to and held on if , and WHEREAS, upon the hearing on said petition, the Council deems it to be for the best interests of the City of Yakima that said petition be granted and said al ley be vacated, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section I. That the following described al ley in the City of Yakima, Washington, to -wit: The alley between 5th and 6th Avenues from "B" Street to Lincoln Avenue, Block 288, Ker's Second Addition to North Yakima, now Yakima, Washington, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume A of Plats, Page 32, records of Yakima County, Washington; be, and the same is, hereby vacated. Section 2. The City of Yakima hereby reserves alI necessary ease- ments and rights -of -way for the instal lation and ma intenance of any and a l I water mains, sewers or uti I it i es of any and al I k i nds which may not,' exist in said alley or which it may hereafter desire to construct there- in, and no building shall be constructed on any portion of said vacated al ley without the prior approval of the City. • Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law anc/ by the City Charter.
