AN ORDINANCE relating to domestic sewer local improvement districts for
Horizon Heights and Edgecliff Manor Additions; confirming
the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District
No. 959 as created and established by Ordinance No. 830
of the City of Yakima; and repealing Ordinances No. 394,
passed November 26, 1962, No. 516, passed April 20, 1964,
No. 528, passed June 1, 1964, No. 410, passed January 7,
1963, No. 517, passed April 20, 1964, and 'No. 529, passed
June 1, 1964, insofar as such Ordinances are inconsistent
herewith.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the assessment roll of Local Improvement Distric
No. 959 as created and established by Ordinance No. 830 of the City of
Yakima is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Yakima,
and the assessments contained therein and leading up thereto are all
in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington and the ordi-
nances of the City of Yakima, and all objections filed herein have been
duly considered. The assessments and each and every part thereof are
hereby approved and confirmed, and the tracts and parcels of land de-
scribed therein as being assessed for the improvement made in said

Local Improvement District are hereby declared to be especially bene-
fited thereby to the extent of the assessments respectively assessed
against them in said assessment roll; and said tracts and parcels of
land are hereby assessed and charged in the respective amounts set
forth and specified in said assessment roll.
Section 2. The amount of the assessment charged against and lev-
ied upon each tract and parcel of land in and by said assessment roll
or any portion of such sum, may be paid at any time within thirty (30)
days from the date of the first publication of the Notice of the City
Treasurer hereinafter provided for, without penalty, interest or costs;
and thereafter the sum remaining unpaid may be paid in 10 annual in-
III stallments with interest on the whole unpaid so charged and assessed
at the rate of 4 per cent per annum.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forthwith furnish
the City Treasurer with a certified copy of said assessment roll, and
said City Treasurer shall thereupon publish a notice in the official
newspaper of said City for a period of 10 successive daily issues there
of, and mail like notices to every owner of any tract or parcel of Ian(

within said Local Improvement District whose post office address is
known, which notices shall state that said assessment roll is in her
hands for collection and any assessments thereon, or any part or por-
tion thereof, may be paid any time within thirty (30) days from the
date of the first publication of said notice, without penalty, inter-

est or costs, and that the unpaid balance, if any, may be paid in ID
equal annual installments or the lien of any such assessment may be
discharged at any time after the said thirty (30) days by paying the
entire unpaid portion thereof, with al 1 penalty and costs attached,
together with all interest thereon to the date of delinquency of the
installments thereof next falling due, and that all unpaid amounts
after said thirty (30) days period shall bear interest at the rate of
4 per cent per annum, and any installments not paid when due shall
become delinquent and be subject to a charge of five per cent (5%)
penalty upon both principal and interest due thereon.
Section 4. That the following Ordinances are hereby repealed
III insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict herewith, and insofar
as those Ordinances affect or pertain to property included within
Local Improvement District No. 959: No. 394, passed November 26,
1962, No. 516, passed April 20, 1964, No. 528, passed June 1, 1964,
No. 410, passed January 7, 1963, No. 517, passed April 20, 1964, and
No. 529, passed June 1, 1964.
Section 5. This Ordinance is one relating to local improvements
or assessments therefor and shall become effective immediately upon
its passage, approval and publication as provided by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 7th day of
November, 1966.
