HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-882 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of a portion of "F" Street, within the City of Yakima. WHEREAS, a petition has been fi led with the City Counci of the City of Yakima providing for the vacation of the hereinafter described • street, and WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the City Council, a hearing on said petition was set for the 13th day of February, 1967, at the hour of 3:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City of Yakima, at the City Hall in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, and notices thereof were duly given in the manner provided by law, and WHEREAS, upon the hea on said petition and vacation, no theret objection was made MilaidiK or fi led, and the City Council finding it to be in the best interests of the City of Yakima that said street be vacated, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That the fol lowing described street in the City of • Yakima, Washington, to -wit: "F" Street between Selah Street (now known as North 1st Avenue) and the West right of way line of the Northern Pacific Railway right of way, said street being 12.5 feet in width and 180 feet in length, as shown on the plat of Mill View Addition to North Yakima as recorded in Volume A of Plats, Page 113, records of Yakima County, Wash ington; be, and the same is hereby, vacated. Section 2. The City of Yakima hereby reserves all necessary ease- ments and rights of way for the installation and maintenance of any and all water mains, sewers or utilities of any and alI kinds which may now exist in said street or which it may hereafter desire to construct therein, and no building shall be constructed on any portion of said vacated street without the prior approval of the City. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
