II I AN ORDINANCE relating to licenses and business regulations; requir-
ing a license to engage in the business of house
moving; and amending Section 5.60.010 of the City of
Yakima Municipal Code.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section I. Section 5.60.010 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"5.60.010 LICENSE REQUIRED. Every person, firm or
corporation desiring to carry on the business of house
moving in the City of Yakima and every person, firm or
corporation who shall within the city limits of said city
engage in or carry on said business of house moving shall
obtain a license from the City of Yakima and pay therefor
a fee of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) per annum, and no
license shall be issued to carry on such business for a
less period than one year; Provided, however, that the
owner of any building may move the same without the
annual license as provided in this paragraph by complying
• with all the other terms of this chapter and with the
provisions of Chapter 11.50, "Control of Moved Buildings",
of this Code."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
