AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission and
rezoning property situated at 7, 9 and 11 North Sixth Street
in the City of Yakima, Washington, from R-3, Multiple Family
.Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone and 8-2, Local Business
Zone.
• . WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of the City
of Yakima held a hearing on the 22nd day of May; 1967, upon the recommenda-
tion of the Planning Commission that real property situated at 7, 9 and 11
North Sixth Street in the City of Yakima, Washington, the legal description
of which is set out hereinbelow, be rezoned from 0-3, Multiple Family Zone,
to B-3, General Business Zone and 8-2, Local Business Zone, and
WHEREAS; the City Council finds that such recommendation of the Plann-
ing Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the reasons that
such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the General
Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property owners in the
vicinity do not oppose the change in classification; that the needs of the
City and community do require such change and that the highest, and best use
of said property is for general business and local business purposes, now,
therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the
City of Yakima that the following described real property situated at 7
North Sixth Street in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more particularly
described as follows, to-wit:
Lot 13, Block 130 of Huson's Addition according to plat thereof
recorded in Volume A of Plats, Page 11, records of Yakima County,
Washington;
be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone, be,
and the same is hereby, approved and said real property is hereby rezoned
to B-3, General Business Zone.
Section 2. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the
City of Yakima that the following described real property situated at 9 and
11 North Sixth Street in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more particular-

ly described as follows, to-wit:
410 Lots 11 and 12, Block 130 of Huson's Addition according to plat
thereof recorded in Volume A of Plats, Page 11, records of
Yakima County, Washington;
be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Zone, to B-2, Local Business Zone, be,
and the same is hereby, approved and said real property is hereby rezoned
to 8-2, Local Business Zone.
Section 3. The above change in zoning shall be included and depictedon
the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and for the City.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file
with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this Ordinance.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days
after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the
City Charter.
