AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission
and rezoning certain property situated at 301, 303, 305,
307, 309 and 311 South Ilth Avenge, in the City of Yakima,
.Washington, from R-3, Multiple FkmilY Zone, to B-I,
Modified Business Zone.
III WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of the
City of Yakima held a hearing on the 24th day of July, 1967, upon the
recommendation of the Planning Commission that real property situated
at 301, 303, 305, 307, 309 and 311 South Ilth Avenue, within the City
of Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is set out. here-
.
inbelow, be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Zone, to B-I, Modified
'Business Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the rea-
sons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the
General Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property own-
. ers in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification; that
the needs of the City and community do require such change and that the
highest and best use of said property is for modified business purposes
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section I. The recommendation of the Planning Commission of the
City of Yakima that the following described real property situated at
301, 303, 305, 307, 309 and 31I,South Ilth Avenuo in the City of Yakim—
Washington, and more partir:ularly described as follows, to
Lots II, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16, Block 394, Capital Addition
to North Yakima, now Yakima, according to the official plat
thereof recorded in Volume A of Plats, Page 29, records of
Yakima County, Washington;
0 be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Zone, to B-I, Modified Business
. Zone, be, and the same is hereby, approved and said real preperty is
hereby rezoned, to B-I, Modified Business Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and de-
picted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and
for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this Ordinance.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by
law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 24th day of
Jul y, 1967.
