AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of a portion of South llth Ave-
nue south of Spokane Street, within the City of Yakima.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Council of the
City of Yakima providing for the vacation of the hereinafter described
street, and
• WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the City Council, a hearing on
said petition was set for the 14th day of August, 1967, at the hour of
3030 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City of Yakima, at
the City Hall in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, and notices there-
of were duly given in the manner provided by law, and
WHERE7+S, upon the hearing on said petition and vacation, no ob-
jection was made thereto or filed, and the City Council finding it to
be in the best interests of the City of Yakima that said street be
vacated, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA
Section 1. That the following described street in the City of
Yakima, Washington, to-wit:
The east half of the cul de sac adjoining Lot 7, Dillon Addl-
., tion, more particularly described as that portion of the 50
foot radius cul de sac lying east of the west line of Lot 8
of Dillon Addition, extended south to the south line of the
cul de sac, except that portion lying within a 40 foot radius,
the center of said cul de sac being 15 feet east and 232.87
feet south of the intersection of the centerlines of Spokane
Street and South llth Avenue
be, and the same is hereby, vacated.
Section 2. The City of Yakima hereby reserves all necessary ease-
ments and rights of way for the installation and maintenance of any and
all water mains, sewers or utilities of any and all kinds which may now
exist in said street or which it may hereafter desire to construct
therein, and no building shall be constructed on any portion of said
vacated street without the prior approval of the City.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30
days after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by
411 law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 14th day of
August, 1967.
