AN ORDINANCE relating to traffic control and to the redemption of
impounded vehicles; and amending Section 9.36.340 of the
City of Yakima Municipal Code.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. Section 9.36.340 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"9.36.340 REDEMPTION OF IMPOUNDED VEHICLES. Before the
owner or his agent shall be permitted to remove a vehicle
from such pound he shall:
(a) Furnish satisfactory evidence to the Chief of Police
and the operator of the garage in which the vehicle is im-
pounded of his identity and ownership or agency.
(b) Pay to the said operator of said garage, who shall
issue a receipt therefor for the towing or hauling charges,
not exceeding in any event the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00)
and the storage charges not exceeding One Dollar ($1.00)
per day for each day impounded.
(c) Sign a written receipt for said vehicle."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 20th day of
November, 1967.
