AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima of
certain property contiguous to the City, and amending
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 602,; passed on December 28,
1964, entitled "AN ORDINANCE prOyiding for the annexa-
. tion by the City of Yakima of certain prOerty contiguous
to the City of Yakima and zoning the same as B-3, General
Business Zone."; and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That Section I of Ordinance No. 602, passed December
28, 1964, and entitled "AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by
the City of Yakima of certain property contiguous to the City of
Yakima and zoning the same as B-3, General Business Zone.", is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. That the following described property con-
tiguous to the City of Yakima, Washington, to-wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the North line of
the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of
the Southeast quarter of Section 14, Township 13
North, Range 18, E.W.M., and the extended East line
of Wright Avenue; thence North 0° 12' East, along,
the East line of Wright Avenue, 296.4 feet; thence.
North 89° 52' East 320 feet; thence South 0° 12'
West 296.4 feet to the North line of the Southwest
quarter of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast .
quarter of said Section 14; thence South 89° 52'
West along the North line of the Southwest quarter
of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of
said Section 14, 320.0 feet to the point of beginning;
is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima, Washington."
Section 2. This Ordinance is one to provide for the immediate pre
servation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare of
the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immed-
iately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law
and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 18th day of
January, 1965.
