AN ORDINANCE amending Section I of Ordinance No. 617, passed on Jan- uary 25, 1965, and entitled "AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima of certain property contiguous to the City of Yakima and zoning the same as R-I, One-Family Zone"; and declaring an emergency.. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section I, That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 617, passed on Jan- uary 25, 1965, and entitled "AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima of certain property contiguous to the City of Yakima and zoning the same as R-I, One-Family Zone", is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section I. That the following described property contiguous to the City of Yakima, Washington, to-wit: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of South 16th Avenue and the South line of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 36, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.; thence East, along said South line, to the East line of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 36; thence North, along said East line, to the.North line of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 36; thence East, along the North line of Block 10 . of Plat of Section 36, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., 331.4 feet; thence South, parallel to the West line of said Block 10, 92.0 feet; thence East, parallel to the North line of said Block, 165.5 feet; thence South, parallel to the West line of said Block 10, 555.55 feet to the South line of said Block 10; thence West, along the South line of said Block 10, to the West line of said Block 10; thence South, • along the East line of Airport Addition No. 2, according to plat thereof recorded in Volume "T" of plats, page 13, records of Yakima County, Washington, to the South line of said Airport Addition No. 2; thence West, along the South line of said Airport Addition No. 2, to the centerline of South 16th Avenue; thence North, along the centerline of South 16th Avenue, to the point of beginning; is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima, Washington." Section 2. This Ordinanco lo out: to provide for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare of t.h© people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby declared 0 to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immed- iately upon its approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
