AN ORDINANCE establishing meter rates and service charges for domestic
water consumption; and amending Section 7.68.250 of the
City of Yakima Municipal Code.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That Section 7.68.250 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"7.68.250 METER RATES AND SERVICE CHARGES. The charges
for domestic water supplied shall be made up of a service charge
and a charge for water consumed.
The service charge inside the city limits shall be as
follows:
ONE MONTH PERIOD $0 50
TWO MONTH PERIOD 1 00
The service charge outside of city limits shall be as
follows:
ONE MONTH PERIOD $0 75
TWO MONTH PERIOD 1 50
The charges for water consumed by customers inside the
city limits shall be as follows:
ONE MONTH PERIOD:
First 1,200 cu. ft. . . . . . . $0.25 per 100 cu. ft.
Next 10,800 cu. ft 15 per 100 cu. ft.
• Next 12,000 cu. ft 10 per 100 cu. ft.
Next 476,000 cu. ft.. 08 per 100 cu. ft.
Next 500,000 cu. ft.. . . . . . 06 per 100 cu. ft.
All Over 1,000,000 cu. ft.. . . 05 per 100 cu. ft.
TWO MONTH PERIOD:
First 2,400 cu. ft $0 25 per 100 cu. ft.
Next 21,600 cu. ft 15 per 100 cu. ft.
Next 24,000 cu. ft 10 per 100 cu. ft.
Next 952,000 cu. ft. 08 per 100 cu. ft.
Next 1,000,000 cu. ft. 06 per 100 cu. ft.
All Over 2,000,000 cu. ft.. . . .05 per 100 cu. ft.
The charges for water consumed by customers outside the
city limits shall be as follows:
ONE MONTH PERIOD:

Next 12,000 cu. ft. . . . . . . 10 per 100 cu. ft.

Next 500,000 cu. ft. 06 per 100 cu. ft.
All Over 1,000,000 cu. ft.. . . 05 per 100 cu. ft.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
