AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission and rezoning certain property consisting of two parcels of real property in the vicinity of East Chestnut Street and the Yakima City Limit line owned by Cliff Wells. WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 13th day of September, 1965, upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission pursuant to its Resolu- tion of Intention, that real property consisting of two parcels of property in the vicinity of East Chestnut Street and Yakima City Limits, consisting of Parcel A and Parcel B, described with more particularity hereinbelow, and that Parcel A be rezoned from R-3, Multiple-Family Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone, and that Parcel B be rezoned from B-3, General Business Zone, to R-3, Multiple-Family Zone, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the rea- , sons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the Comprehensive Plan of, the City of Yakima; that the majority of property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification; that the needs of the City and community do require such change and that the highest and best use for said property is for the uses pre- • scribed in this ordinance for each respective parcel, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima that the following described real property consist- ing of Parcel A and Parcel B described as follows, to-wit: PARCEL A: That part of the South half of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 20, Township 13 North, Range 19, E.W.M.,. described as follows: Beginning 261.7 feet East and 334 feet South of the Northwest corner of said . Subdivision; thence East 65.2 feet; thence South 112 feet; thence West 65.2 feet; thence North 112 feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPT the North 50 feet thereof. PARCEL B. . That part of the South half of the Northwest quarter of the • Northwest quarter of Section 20, Township 13 North, Range 19, E.W.M., described as follows: Beginning 261.7 feet East and 334 feet South of the Northwest corner of said subdivision; thence East 65.2 feet; thence South 50 feet; thence West 65.2 feet; thence North 50 feet to the point of beginning; be rezoned, :IS hereby approved; and the above 'described Parcel A is hereby rezoned from R-3, Multiple-Family Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone, and the above described Parcel B is hereby rezoned from B -3, General Business Zone, to R -3, Multiple - Family Zone. Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and de- picted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and for the City. l• Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to fi le with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this Ordinance. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
