AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission
and rezoning certain property located at 4807 Tieton
Drive, in the City of Yakima, Washington, from R-I,
One-Family Zone, to B-2, Local Business Zone.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of
the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 27th day of September, 1965,
0 upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission pursuant to its
Resolution of Intention, that real property located at 4807 Tieton
Drive, in the City of Yakima, Washington, the legal description of
which is set out hereinbelow, be rezoned from R-I, One-Family Zone,
to B-2, Local Business Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the rea-
sons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the
Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property
owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification;
that the needs of the City and community do require such change and
that the highest and best use of said property is for local business

purposes, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section I. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission of
the City of Yakima that the following described real property located
at 4807 Tieton Drive, in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more par-
ticularly described as follows, to-wit:
West 75 feet of the South 293 feet of the East half of
the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of the
Southeast quarter, Section 21, Township 13 North, Range
18 E.W.M., except the North 130.76 feet;
be rezoned from R-I, One-Family Zone, to B-2, Local Business Zone, be,
and the same is hereby, approved and said real property is hereby
rezoned, to B-2, Local Business Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and de-
picted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and
for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this Ordinance.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by
law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 27th day of
September, 1965.
