AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission
and rezoning certain property located at 28th and Nob Hill
Boulevard, Northeast Corner, in the City of Yakima, Wash-
ington, from"R-2, Two-Family Zone, to R-3, Multiple-
Family Zone.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of
the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 1st day of November, 1965,

upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that real property
located at 28th and Nob Hill Boulevard, Northeast Corner, within the
City of Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is set out
hereinbelow, be rezoned from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to R-3, Multiple-
Family Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the rea-
sons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the
Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of pro-
perty owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classifica-
tion; that the needs of the City and community do require such change
II I and that the highest and best use of said property is for multiple-
family purposes, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
c I. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission of
the City of Yakima that the following described real property located
at 28th and Nob Hill Boulevard, Northeast Corner, in the City of
Yakima, Washington, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
South 205.8 feet of Lot 15, Block I, according to the
official plat thereof recorded in Volume "H" of Plats,
Page 31, records of the Auditor of Yakima County, Wash-
ington;
be rezoned from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to R-3, Multiple-Family Zone,
be, and the same is hereby, approved and said real property is hereby
SI rezoned, to R-3, Multiple-Family Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and de-
picted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and
for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this Ordinance.
Section 4. This Ordinance shal I be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 1st day of
November, 1965.
