AN flDINANCE rezoning property at 2703 and 2709 Nob Hill Boulevard
in the City of Yakima, Washington, from R-2, Two-Family
• Zone, to R-3, Multiple-Family Zone, and B-1, Modified
Business Zone.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of
40 tilt:, City of Yakima held a hearing on the 1st day of November, 1965,
on an •application for the rezone of real property situated at 2703 and
2709 iJob Hill Boulevard, within the City of Yakima, Washington, the
legal description of which property is set out hereinbelow, and
WHEREAS, said hearing by the Yakima City Council was held sub-
sequent to hearings held by the Planning Commission of the City of
Yakima on said application, and
WHEREAS, as a result of all hearings previously held by the City
Cou.,cil and the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima, the City
Council finds that said application for rezone should be granted as
modified and approved herein for the reason that such rezonirg is in
accord with good planning and with the Comprehensive Plan of the City
4 1/ of Yakima; that the majority of property owners in the vicinity do not
oppose the change in the classification; that the needs of the City
6lid community do require such change and that the highest and best
u5e cf said property is for the purposes set out and approved herein-
elow, now, therefore,
3E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section I. That the following described real property situated
at 2/03 and 2709 Nob Hill Boulevard, within the City of Yakima, Wash-
ington, more particularly described as follows, •to-wit:
Lots 12, 13 and 14, Block 1, of Shannon Homes, according
to the official plat thereof, recorded in Volume H of
Plats, Page 31, records of Yakima County, Washington,
:IXCEPT the South 65 feet of Lot 12 and except the South
65 feet of the East half of Lot 13 thereof;
be, and the same is hereby, rezoned from R-2, Two-Family Zon, to
R-3, Multiple-Family Zone.
Section 2. That the following described real property situated
at 2703 and 2709 Nob Hill Boulevard, within the City of Yakima, Wash-
ington, more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
The South 65 feet of Lot 12 and the South 65 feet of the
East half of Lot 13, Block 1, of Shannon Homes, according
to the official plat thereof, recorded in Volume H of Plats,
Page 31, records of Yakima County, Washington.;
be, and the same is hereby, rezoned from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to
B-I, Modified Business Zone.
III Section 3. The above change in zoning shall be included and de-
pictf-A on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and
for the City.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this Ordinance.
e, 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30
days after its passage, approval and Oublicatibn as provided by law
and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 8th day of
November, 1965.
