AN ORDINANCE appropriating the sum of $2,600 from the unappropriated
monies in the City Garage Fund to Account 7-02, Part Time,
TeMperary, Overtime, and Special Assignment, of the
Salaries and Wages classification, and to Account 7-54,
AuteMetive Fuels, Lubricants, and Parts, of the Mainten-
ance and Operation classification, both of the 1964
appropriation for 34-City Garage Fund; and declaring a
-non-debatable emergency,
WHEREAS, there are unappropriated monies in the City Garage Fund
Of the City of YakiMa, and
WHEREAS, additional funds are required in Account 7-02, Part Time,
TeMporary, Overtime, and Special Assignment of the Salaries and Wages
claisification, and in Account 7-54, Automotive Fuels, Lubricants,
411 and.Parts, of the Maintenance. and Operation 'Classification, both of
the 1964 appropriation for 34-City Garage Fund, in order to buy
gasoline and parts, and perform labor, for resale for the balance of
1964, all of which expenses are, or will be, incurred on account of
snow removal operations, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1964 Budget, it could
not have been reasonably foreseen that additional appropriations would
be required and the City Council finds that a non-debatable emergency
exists, of the type contemplated by R.C.W. 35.33.080, caused by an
unprecedented snow storm requiring emergency eXpenditureS of an esti-
mated amount of $2,600, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the sum of $900 is hereby appropriated from the
unappropriated monies in the City Garage Fund to Account 7-02, Part Time,
Temporary, Overtime, and Special Assignment, of the Salaries and Wages
classification of the 1964 appropriation for 34-City Garage Fund.

Section 2. That the sum of $I,700 is hereby appropriated from
unappropriated monies in the City Garage Fund to Account 7-54, Automo-
tive Fue16, Lubricants, and Parts, of the Maintenance and Operation
classification of the 1964 appropriation for 34-City Garage Fund.
Section 3. This ordinance is one making an appropriation to
authorize expenditures necessitated by a non-debatable emergency,
and shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 28th day of
December, 1964.
