AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission and
rezoning certain property located between South 0 Avenue
and South 7t Avenue and between Walnut and Chestnut Streets
in the City of Yakima, Washington.
WHEREAS, on the 14th day of June, 1961, at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the City Council, a hearing was had upon the recommendation
of the Planning Commission that certain specified property in the City
of Yakima, to-wit:
Lots 3, 4, 5, 12, 13, & 14, Block 312, Capitol Addition
to the Town of North :Yakima, now Yakima, Washington
according to the Plat thereof recorded in Volume "A" of
Plats, Page 10 Records of Yakima County, Washington;
be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Residence Zone, to B-3p General
Business Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
Planning Commission fo:v' such rezoning should be approved for the fol-
lowing reasons, to-wits That such rezoning is in accord with god
Planning and with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that
the majority of property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change
in classification; that the needs of the City and community do require
such change; and that the hiahest and best use is for General Businesq
purposes, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OP YUMA:
Section 1. The recomffiendation of the Planning Commission of the
City of Yakima that the following described real pToperty situated be-
tween South 01 Avenue and South V Avenue and between, Walnut and Chestnut
Streets in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more particularly described
as follows, to-wit;

Lots 3, 4, 5, 12, 13 & 14, Block 312, Capitol Addition
to the Town of Worth Yakima, now Yakima, Washington,
according to the Plat thereof recorded in Volume '"A" of
Plate, Page IO Records of Yakima County, Washington;
be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Residence Zone, to B-3, General
Business Zone, be, and the same is, hereby approved, and Said real
property is hereby rezoned to B-3, General Business Zone.
Sect1on2 The above change in zoning shall be included and de-
picted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and
for the said City.
Seption 3c The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance.
Section. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days after
its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law and by the
City Charter
