ORDINANCE NO. —
Ak AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima, Wash-
ington, of certain property contiguous to the City of
Yakima, and zoning the same as R-1, Single Family Residence
• Zone®
WHEREAS, proceedings have been had in accordance with Chapter 128
of the. Laws of 1945 for the annexation of the property hereinafter de-
scribed, and
WHEREAS, at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission
of the City of Yakima a hearing was had pursuant to legal notice, on
July 5 1961, upon the zoning of said property hereinafter d and
annexed, and
WHEREAS, the said Planning Commission duly recommended that said
property be annexed to the City of Yakima and that all of said property
hereinafter described be zoned at the time of such annexation as R-1„
• Single Family Residence Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such property should be annexed
to the City of Yakima, and further finds that such recomrendation of the
Planning Commission for zoning of said property should be approved for
the reasons that such zoning is in accord with good planning and with
the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima that the majority of the
property owners in the vicinity do not oppose-the classification that
the needs of the City and community do require such zoning classifica-
tion, and that the highest and best use for said property is Single
Family Residence Zone, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the following described property contiguous to the
City of Yakima, Washington, to-wit:

Beginning at the centerline of West Chestnut Street
and the centerline of South 45th Avenue, thence West
• to the centerline of South 46th Avenue, thence South
to the centerline of West Walnut Street, thence East
to the centerline of South 45th Avenue, thence North
to the centerline of West Chestnut Street, which is
the true point of beginning;
be, and the same is, hereby annexed to the City of Yakima, Washington.
Section 2. The recommendation of the Planning Commission of the
City of Yakima that the above-described real property should be zoned
R-1, Single Family Residence Zone, be and the same is, hereby approved,
and said property is hereby zoned as R-1, Single Family Residence Zone.
Section 3. The next regularly amended Use District Map prepared
by and for the City of Yakima shall show said property as R-1 Single
Family Residence Zone.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinanc.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30
days after its final passage, approval and publication, as provided by
law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 9th day of
August, 1961?
