ORDINANCE NO
AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission
and rezoning certain property located at 205 and 207 South
6th Street, between East Walnut Street and East Spruce
Street, in the City of Yakima, Washington.
WHEREAS, on the 16th day, of August, 1961, at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the City Council, a'hearing was had upon the recommendation
of the Planning Commission that certain specified property in the City
of Yakima, to-wit:
Lots 13 and 14 of Block 133 of the City of Yakima, Volume "AN
of Plat7 page 10 and re-recorded in Volume "E" of Plats,"
vge 1, records of Yakima County, Washington;
be rezoned from R--3, Multiple Family Residential Zone, to T1-2, Local
Business Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
41 0 Planning for such rezoning should be approved for the fol-
lowing reasons, to-wit: That such rezoning is in accord with good
planning and with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that the
majority Of property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change • in
classification; that the needs of the City and community do require such
change; and that the highest and best use is for Local Business purposes
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section /. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission of
the City of Yakima that the following described real property situated
at 205 and 207 South 6th Street, between East Walnut Street and East
Spruce Street, in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more particularly
described as follows, to-wits
Lots 13 and 14 of Block 133 of the City of Yakima, Volume
of Plats, page 10, and re-recorded in Volume "E" of Plats,
page 1, records of Yakima County, Washington;

be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Residential Zone, to B-2, Local
411 Business Zone, be, and the same is, hereby approved, and said real
property hereby rezoned to B-2 Local Business Zone®
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and de-
picted on the next regularly, amended Use District Map prepared by and
for the said. City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days after
its passage approval and publication, as provided by law and by the
City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 16th day of
August, 1961.
